Artefact, a Belgian (Antwerp) underwear label built on a simple belief: change begins with the first layer.
Wietse, the founder of Artefact, is not a fashion designer. He is an entrepreneur who believes that high-quality products can make a difference. For the wearer, for the European economy and, ultimately, for the growing amount of clothing ending up as waste.
“Underwear is worn every day and directly against the skin. That is exactly why fabric, fit and longevity deserve more attention,” says Wietse. “Dressing well starts with wearing good fabrics.”
Artefact creates refined and comfortable underwear in organic cotton, combining considered styling with a focus on long-term wear. Not disposable fashion, but a strong foundation designed to feel good, fit well and last longer.
As a Belgian brand, Artefact believes in European creativity, expertise and entrepreneurship. By choosing quality over speed, the label aims to support an economy in which products regain their value, and are less likely to end up in landfill.
The first collection launches in September through artefactwear.com
